Grade 5 Start Up Packages

Recommended:

- white vinyl eraser or pink school erasers

- large glue sticks (2)

- HB pencils

- pencil sharpener

- 30 cm ruler (with millimetres)

- package of coloured pencil crayons

- calculator (basic computations)

- geometry set (must include protractor and compass)

- 2 highlighters (different colours)

- small pair of scissors for personal use

- personal box of tissue/Kleenex

-Bescherelle (verb conjugation book)

- pencil case (zippered is best as the plastic boxes tend to pop open when dropped)

Reminder:

- please label all of your materials with masking tape or permanent marker

- indoor running shoes are to be kept at school

Requirements for all grades for Physical Education Classes and Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Classes:

- wear shorts under skirts/dresses/track pants on physical education days (no change rooms this year, until further notice)

- shorts and t-shirt in a labelled drawstring bag for gym

- one pair of lace-up or velcro indoor running shoes for classroom and gym

- one pair of lace-up or velcro running shoes for outdoor classes

- no jewelry, skirts or skorts are permitted in Physical Education classes

- long hair needs to be tied back in an elastic
